I took my 30th trip to New Orleans in May for a few days of legal conference.
My son got a “cadet of the year” award via his Civil Air Patrol squadron that the local VFW presented him, and I liked the guys who presented it so much that I joined their chapter.
After a week in New Orleans, my bride and I flew up to Nashville for a reunion with my old squadron, the 118th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, which was closed 10 years ago. We stayed with Shane, my battle buddy from my first deployment to Iraq. Catching up with him was the highlight of the weekend.
We saw Kenny Loggins live on Mothers Day weekend, and on Memorial Day weekend, we flew to Greece for a 2-week trip. Thus, May was pretty great.
