How to give multiple children a method for compromising on entertainment choices

We’re a 1-TV family, and while we have some ipads, we generally prefer that the children utilize skills of compromise and agree to watch something together when they scroll through their Netflix options on Friday afternoons (they don’t get to turn on the TV during the school week).  For a while, they’d take turns choosing the program that would be on the TV, but then, I got an email with this link in it that is a “Netflix fortune teller,” which means it’s a pattern you can print out and fold to make one of those little doohickies that helps pick your future, but it’s for TV shows.   Here’s the link again.

See how that works?  He had me pick a color and then a number, and the next thing I knew, we were streaming “Scooby-Doo.”

I call that a win.
